The Last Emperor tells the story of Puyi, who was the last Emperor of china. He was the final member of the Manchu Qing Dynasty.Puyi was chosen as an Emperor by Dowager Empress Cixi on her deathbed, when puyi was just 2 years and 10 months in 1908.Puyi’s parental mother was not allowed inside the forbidden city and he was then taken care by a wet-nurse, Wen-Chao Wang inside the Palace.

It was very interesting and amazed to watch puyi’s Royal upbringing scenes.As he grows, an scottish teacher, Sir Reginald Fleming Johnston was appointed to teach him English. Puyi learns eagerly the language and western lifestyle from his tutor.He was then married to two women, The Empress Wan Rong and The Consort Wen Xiu.
Then comes difficult situation for Puyi by the uprising political changes by chinese Republic. He then used as a puppet Emperor for few days and later forced into exile. He was imprisoned by chinese communist authorities.Puyi attempts sucide in the exile but been saved.Movie ends with the touching moments of puyi visiting his own palace as a normal tourist.A must watch!.

    The Last Emperor is all about Royal and Revolution. One of the top leading in my favourite movie List.
